COMMON AREAS OF USE FOR ROUND, RECTANGULAR AND HEXAGONAL ALUMINIUM BARS
- Extruded aluminium products: round, square, rectangular and hexagonal bars, account for more than half of the market for aluminium products in Europe. The construction industry is one of the main consumers.
- The most common alloys extruded in bar form are those of class 6000. These alloys accumulate a number of very good physical-mechanical, weldability, corrosion resistance and anodisation properties and are recommended for many applications in industry
- Following the extrusion and heat treatment processes, the aluminum bars acquire superior physical-mechanical properties. Their mechanical resistance increases, being thus recommended in many areas of use (machining by chipping, bending, welding, hot or cold plastic deformation)
