Packaging of Non-Ferrous Products
Rolls, sheets, bars, and profiles made from non-ferrous metals are packaged with paper/cardboard and plastic film, which ensures protection against water ingress or damage (scratching, impact) during transport. For non-ferrous metal sheets, wooden pallets should always be used for packaging.
The plastic film used for packaging must cover the entire package to prevent water from penetrating between surfaces.
Storage of Non-Ferrous Products
Non-ferrous products should be stored in closed, dry, and well-ventilated spaces. In these spaces, temperature fluctuations and humidity levels should be kept stable. Even though the products are well-protected with waterproof materials, it is not recommended to store them outdoors.
Transportation of Non-Ferrous Products
For transporting non-ferrous products, trucks with tarpaulins are recommended. If, for various reasons, these means cannot be used, transportation can also be done with flatbeds, but in this case, the goods must be properly packaged/covered.
Non-ferrous products must be securely fixed on the truck platform to eliminate the risk of product or packaging damage during transport.

Water – the enemy of non-ferrous metals
Prolonged contact with water can cause unsightly stains on non-ferrous surfaces, which can create issues during further surface finishing, such as anodizing aluminum.
Stains on the surface can appear when, for example, water enters between sheets, profiles, or bars during packaging, transport, or storage.
If water penetrates inside the packaging, it must be removed as soon as possible. If the materials are wet, first wipe the water off the surfaces without damaging them and then leave them unpacked in the covered storage to allow the moisture to evaporate from the surface.
After unloading, if there is a significant temperature difference, especially during winter months, when materials are unloaded from trucks and brought into heated storage spaces, condensation may form on the products. These should be allowed to acclimatize, and if the products are tightly wrapped, the film should be removed to allow the condensation to evaporate quickly, after which re-packaging is recommended.

Natural sources (rain, snow) and water leaks, such as through a damaged truck tarp during transport or through a damaged roof in a storage space.
Condensation
Large temperature fluctuations favor the formation of condensation on the metal surfaces. These situations occur especially on hot days, when materials heat up during transport and are then unloaded into cooler storage spaces, or during the winter months when metals cool down during transport and are unloaded into warmer storage spaces. The presence of moisture on the metal surfaces can lead to oxidation, causing stains.
