The note to Clause 1 of standard EN 12449 states that copper tubes with an outer diameter below 80 mm and/or a wall thickness above 2 mm are often intended for machining, in which case standard EN 12168 applies. This clarification guides users to choose standard EN 12168 for automatic machining, optimising material selection for composition and tolerances.
c The maximum value for iron and tin was changed from 0.2 % to 0.3 % based on a CEN/TC 133 decision.
